Wittsend Kennels is a responsible breeder of Miniature Smooth Dachshunds and Basenjis based in Keyser WV. Established in 2004, we produce and show quality Dachshunds and Basenjis, with a focus on temperament, conformation, and structural soundness. We are members of The National Miniature Dachshund Club, Basenji Club of America and Mid-Atlantic Basenji Club. We're happy to answer any questions you may have about our dogs. 
Here at Wittsend, we strive to produce dogs with conformation, temperament and health, that will not only excel in the show ring but will make excellent companion animals.  We carefully choose dogs that meet the standard for the breed.  A lot of time, money and research go into our choices, we just don't throw two dogs together and hope for the best, so acquiring a dog from us is not a careless undertaking.  Purebred doesn't mean well bred.  We truly care where our puppies and dogs go, strict contracts are made and followed here. We reserve the right to refuse any sale for any reason.
